Special sound and vibration absorbtion matting from FrozenCPU.com designed to deaden noise from fans and drives. With enough matting to silence an entire Mid-tower ATX case, this is a must have. Effectively deadening the noise and vibration of case fans, High speed Hard drives and CD-R's.

I''m a professional sound engineer and i have to say that this material has been mounted inside of a 3U server rack chassis to help keep our machine quiet and noise free. I''m using the same server chassis since 2005 and this sound dampening material has eliminated most of the fan noise and hdd noise. It has been applied since November. 2010 and im just now posting this review so customers can see how long if been using frozencpu''s sound dampening material.
Good stuff

It comes with 4 mats, 2 big ones for the side panels and 2 long rectangles for top and bottom. I didn''t use the latter 2 because they would greatly inhibit airflow. I did however cut out a square to cover the area behind my hdd cage (hides cables nicely).
I''m using a CM690II Advanced and I was able to fit both side panel mats in. The left side panel went on with clearance for my Hyper212+. It''s thinner than I expected. I redid all my cable management and got the back panel on flush with a full sheet installed. This is impressive considering how many cables there are back there (I am using the non-modular Corsair 650TX). I cut out some black plastic squares from a binder laminate to cover the side fan holes so the sticky side wasn''t exposed to dust. Since my side vents are covered my temps were raised 3-5C overall. This case is already cold with x4 1450rpm gentle typhoons, so it''s not a big deal.
The stuff is also very easy to cut and it peels off without leaving residue. I know because I pulled it up to flatten out air bubbles. The noise and vibration difference is minor, but as an earlier reviewer stated, every decibel counts.
Lastly, the frozen cpu logo is stamped on with some silver ink that streaked a little bit in the package. It''s not engraved as I thought I saw in one of the stock pictures. You don''t get much for $20, but it''s still worth it.
Works great

With this stuff and new shark fans, i went from 32db when runing on full to 19db, is a great help to making a quite case, also good for hideing wires under for a cleaner look, small wires. took 1 egg away cause it takes 2 packs to fully do a mid tower and not leave huge gaps in the case with no matting on it. I also did my HDD bins and it helped on HDD sounds a lot.
Not Much Difference

Unlike the other reviewers, I did not get much difference. At least I didn''t waste too much money on it, and I guess every decibel counts, not matter how small.
a noticable difference in sound

it works. Only 18 bucks, you can''t lose. The system is more quiet than before.
