Efficiency is a key factor in modern systems. Organizations such as Climate Saver Computing™ are focused on improving the efficiency of a computer’s power delivery. Today’s average desktop PC wastes over half of the power delivered to it, and the wasted electricity unnecessarily increases the cost to power computers as well as the emissions of greenhouse gases. Enermax is committed to reduce this waste and to combat climate change by meeting and exceeding Climate Saver Computing guidelines, setting new benchmarks for the PC PSU industry by reaching 82-88% efficiency with all of the new MODU82+ II series at 20%, 50%, or 100% load.

These new power supplies are also some of the quietest units in the world thanks to two new patented technologies: SpeedGuard and AirGuard. SpeedGuard allows the PSU fan to operate only at 400 to 500 rpm when the power supplies are under 50% load. It lowers the total noise profile by an astonishing 5 dBA. AirGuard is a mechanical design which bends the housing around the air-inlet to the fan and it help to reduce the total noise level by up to 2 dBA.

Besides being one of the first that complies with Intel’s ATX12V v2.3 standards, MODU82+ II offers some of the strongest +12V rails in its class. Both series are rated at 40°C with triple +12 rails that can support up to an amazing 25A on each rail. In addition, The MODU82+ series come with 12 pin modular connectors that present endless combinations and possibilities for future CPU and graphic needs.

The MODU82+ II comes with CordGuard, a great feature that prevent accidental cord disconnection and a HeatGuard function that allows the PSU fan to run after your PSU shut down.
