It seems to cool the northbridge a lot better than the factory heatsink, and this one is also copper - plus 3 times as large, lol. The clips that came with this actually were way too small for my motherboard, and I had to pick up a round file - file the insides of the brackets out - and use my original (larger) pins so that it would actually mount. Now that it''s mounted, it''s actually not as snug as I would have liked it to be. It could use a bit more spring compression or maybe come with a thermal pad to help tighten up the fitment. Overall though, it did mount, it does work, it looks good, and it did cool the northbridge. For $20 who can complain for a copper heatsink?
