The Heatkiller GPU-X³ 69X0 Hole edition Full Coverage Water Block has a unique design helping keep your card cool. The flat design and top quality materials are the main features of the GPU-X³ series blocks. The water-carrying part is made completely of high grade copper. In addition to the graphics processor, the Rambausteine and voltage regulators are cooled. In the area of GPU a particularly fine micro structure was built. Together with a small residual soil strength optimum cooling performance is achieved. In all relevant areas of insulating spacers were inserted. These make for easy installation of the cooler.
To keep the flow resistance, and the overall weight down, all channels are running large volume. Due to the existing thread on both sides of the terminal block many opportunities of integration are given in the cooling circuit.
For ease of installation, all supplied thermal pads are pre-cut.

Good Performance, Great Service from FrozenCPU, but HeatKiller Needs More Quality Control...

Pros:
- Block is solid and well built. - Idle temps decreased only slightly to the mid-30s C, but load temps decreased significantly to about 45C (stock cooler went to high 60s, low 70s with overclock).
Cons:
- Installation instructions are pretty clear, but they require parts that I simply must not have received in the box. There are not enough washers and nuts to accompany the bolts, and some of the bolts are either too small for the threads of the block, or otherwise the cooler came with holes that were already completely threaded. I have enough bolts to secure the block to the card sufficiently, but there are three holes in which no bolt will tighten.
Also, not really a con, but this block is very heavy (proof of it''s quality). Expect some bending of the card. Try to put it in a lower slot, of install a standoff of some sort in the case to give it support.
All in all, performance is excellent, and the block works as intended. However, I cannot rate this block higher, as I feel that a piece this expensive should not have either parts missing or degraded parts. I don''t blame FrozenCPU, however. They provided quick delivery and a well-packaged product as always.
