The airplex modularity system is a fully modular radiator system for water cooling systems. The design and functionality of these shows the expertise and know-how of the ten year history of Aqua Computer. the system is based on a disk pack with 21 copper pipes from the factory and pressed stainless steel flanges. On both sides of the plate pack are Delrin terminals that seal against the stainless steel flanges and are bolted to these.
The Delrin terminals are recessed for the connecting thread and have a round pocket. In this case, a connection adapter can be connected to two radiators mounted without the hassle of using hose connections to directly connect the radiators. Having determined the orientation of the radiators with each other, the coolant flows through one side next to each other when the radiators are connected in series, horizontally stacked radiators are traversed in parallel. In addition, the system can grow indefinitely in length. Optional modules connect the Delrin disc packs together.
The height of the radiators in standard configuration (ie without pump module) is 63.5 mm and the length is 44 mm longer than the respective fans (eg 3x 120 mm = 360 +44 = 404 mm).
The single circuit design allows the entire radiator to be used for one loop. Optional delrin end plates will be available optionally to split into a dual circuit allowing the same radiator to be used for multiple loops. This is an industry first!
Note: A ton of accessories will be available for these once they are available from Aquacomputer!

Beautiful but Badly Designed

The good: this thing is the BMW of radiators. The copper work is beautiful, and machining on the end caps and side panels is probably accurate to a thousandth of an inch.
The bad:
Surprise! M3 x 30mm fasteners for the fan mounts! Seriously?? They''re not mentioned anywhere in the specs, and they''re nearly impossible to find in North America. And because they used hardened stainless steel inserts, you can''t re-tap the holes to a SAE fastener.
Surprise! All of the coolant ports are recessed into 10mm deep 18mm diameter holes ...which makes them incompatible with 99% of the fittings sold on Frozen CPU. What were these people thinking?? The only work-around we could come up with was to add a 15mm male->female extender on each coolant port.

This radiator is a work of art, in form and function. It replaced a 3x120 30 fpi rad and I saw a huge difference after experimenting with fan configurations. Initially I tried my noctua nh-p12''s which are moderate flow high static pressure fans. While they were superb on the 30 fpi rad, they seemed lackluster on this rad. The open flow design of this rad demands high air flow for peak performance, which was confirmed when I put my blowdryer 120''s on it. At full load on MSI Kombustor for 30 mins my system liquid temps were 5C cooler than with the predecessor it replaced. In addition this rad also added more liquid volume to the system which is a benefit as well since it minimizes transient temps across the system. Overall I''m very pleased with this product and I am confident that this will handle anything I can foreseeably
Awestruck!

I have never opened a package and felt the warm glow this radiator gave me. The sheer intensity of the all copper Rad is a beautiful thing to behold. Now, I mounted it in the top of a Corsair Obsidian 800D and for any of you wanting to do the same you are going to need to get your Dremel out. The radiator is so long that in order to line up the fans, you have to push it in to the 5.25 bays where the top and may be the second bay read support lugs will obstruct its passage. A quick bit of Dremeling with the diamond cut off disk did the trick. Also If you plan on using noise dampening pads, be careful to ensure that they allow the fans to mate next to each other without any gap.
I am waiting for the remainder of my water cooling system and when I get it, I will update this with further information.
Super Rad

Despite ''sticker shock'', be assured this is a top notch unit. Superbly engineered and crafted this unit will
handle most systems with ease. This rad was integrated in a 990x/580 sli system. This rad is over 5 lbs in weight, the cooling is all copper and no lead ie. solder is used and I wanted an all copper loop with exception of fittings. This unit exceeded my expectations in all areas, I recommend it especially for those doing a high end build.
