Mod/Smart has done it again with its latest offering for the professional modders. We are excited to introduce “The Black Box”! A professionally designed CCFL Inverter with the modder in mind. The Black Box is the first inverter in the world to enable the user to add multiple inverters to each other without the need for multiple power input sources AND the ability to turn each independent inverter on or off with its own switch.

Up to 6 Chained inverters have been tested successfully!

To add more inverters: Simply connect a jump wire from the 12V DC OUT on the first inverter to the 12V DC IN on the second inverter.

Great for powering 1-2 tubes without being a complete eyesore in your case. Small enough to hide under the motherboard tray in many cases or in a hard drive rack in any case. I haven''t tested the daisy-chaining feature, but it doesn''t affect usability at all, and should allow for easy expansion later on. Documentation mentioned an ''always on'' jumper that wasn''t included, but that''s easy enough to deal with on your own - alternately just use the included switch, or any other non-momentary switch to control it. A nice feature: the inverter already has spade connectors on the switch cable, so you can easily replace the cheap included rocker switch with something else.
