Easily combine Koolance's highest flow pumps into dual or serial/redundant loops! RP-452X2 is a dual 5.25" bay reservoir designed for one or two Koolance PMP-450 or PMP-450S pumps (not included). Using a convenient side plug, the front reservoirs can be separated or combined without disassembling the unit. Both front and top fill ports are available for each reservoir.
Machined from a solid piece of acetal for maximum reliability, the RP-452X2 has a thick acrylic window and front aluminum bezel. Two sets of G 1/4 BSP threaded inlet and outlets appear on the back, designated "P1" and "P2" for each pump. If one pump is used, an acetal blocker is included to occupy the second pump location.
There are four pre-drilled holes for optional 3mm LEDs around the acrylic window. CD bay mounting screws and pump attachment hardware are included.
Note: Sleeving is not included and optional below.

The picture shown here, as stated in a previous review is for the 1.0 revision, which is what I also received. I''ve been using this combo with the variable pumps for about eight months or so. Resevoir looks beautiful inside a TJ07 and if your able to mod your case at all the top ports work pretty well as fill ports. I do, however, share the same difficulties in properly bleeding these tanks out. Tilting a fully loaded 50lbs case 90-180 degrees on all axis is definately an exercise. If only they had made a sloping ceiling so that air naturally settled on the top ports.
Worth the effort if you figure out filling it

Bleeding and burping this thing was difficult at best. The instructions are weak and setting it up for serial operation is a bit of a leap of faith. Using just the U fitting works well. Filling P1 will pump all the fluid into P2 leaving P1 so empty that it can pump nothing. Carefully and slowly filling with a syringe or fill bottle via the top P1 intake and slowly bleeding out the top of the P2 fill as a vent is the only way I''ve found to fill / burp this thing. Once filled, it works great and creates very high flow even with a lot of pressure. Operation has been flawless since fill.
Hard to bleed

The picture actually shows the older revision of this pump (side mounts).
This reservoir is very well built and looks good but it is a nightmare to bleed the system and prime the pumps.
The design allows an air pocket to be formed on the bottom near the pump intake during the initial filling process.
The bubble can be removed by tilting it or blowing air in the front intake port to push water back into the pump chamber.
Another issue I found is that that when filling through the front ports fluid will actually leak out the front unless you fill very it slowly.
In the end it works well after everything gets going. I''m just not sure if it''s worth the trouble.
