I''ve had this thing for a year and I still love it. I can''t say "took temps form ___ to ___", ''cause I didn''t even bother with any stock, but it is quite nice. I am running an AMD 64 X2 5600, which is 2 AMD cores, each running at 3.2GHz. Stressing my CPU to no end with P95 and Crysis keeps it below 53 degrees Celsius (room temp is about 75 degrees F, 24 degrees C). This tempo was using 32-bit Windows XP. I noticed a drop when I installed 64-bit Vista.
As for noise, well, what noise? That temp I posted was when running the fan at 25% duty and it''s very quiet. Crank it up to 100% and it gets a little louder, but still pretty quiet.
One note, get out a ruler and make some measurements, unless you''re really sure you have a lot of room. My RAM is about 6" away form my CPU and the fins just barely cleared the top of the closest memory module.
Awesome fan

I agree with the other reviews here. I got rid of the noisy stock fan, replaced it with this, and the temps and noise went way down. I guess I am lucky, I didn''t have to mod my Lian - Li, but it was tricky getting it in there. But like the others wrote, it is well worth it!! I became a thermaltake fan after buying this product!
Great item, looks good, works well, but kinda big

This item is worth the money!!! It looks great, makes very little to no noise, but is a bit bulky. Do your homework first and make sure it will fit on your MB. It just clears my ram by about an 1/8"!!! My CPU topped at 47 C when I was playing for about an hour, then it cooled down to about 42-43 C. This is much better than the stock cooler which stayed around 50-53 C. A bit trivky to install, but get ready to take out your MB. I had to, BUT ITS WORTH IT!!!
Cool, Quiet, and Huge

This took a loud, very hot running 775-P4 (3.4) and simply made it quiet and cool. Make sure your case is big enough though. I had to use my new dremel tool to mod my antec lanboy, moved the power supply, and then it all just fit.
Otherwise looks great and performs great.
Great fan

This is a great fan. It keeps my processor cool, and makes my pc look even better. I couldn''t have asked for anything better. Frozen PC even shipped it overseas to me at a military address, what a big plus. +++
