The XSPC RayStorm High Performance Copper CPU Liquid Cooling Block is a performance based CPU liquid cooling block for Intel's LGA Series Socket motherboards. With G1/4 threads and specifically designed for multi-core CPU's this block is a great upgrade! Compatible with larger compression fittings (1/2 x 3/4 compatible) you can install this into any existing build or start of a new system with a top of the line block.
The RayStorm tested an incredibly low restriction rate compared to other top contenders and shouldn't be taken lightly. This block is a top performer and shows up admirably in the thermal department. Combining these together gives a great block at an affordable price!
The Raystorm Intel Block comes with LGA 2011 Fixing Set stock now.

Great block (looks, function, installation)06-12-2012

I''ve used this block on multiple installations of 2011 block CPUs, including 4 Asus Z9PE-D8 WS''s (dual 2011 sockets), as well as several 1366 installations. Pros : • very easy to install. Great for 2011 socket installs, correct back plates and included posts • Add very little friction / back pressure to the loop • Removes a huge amount of heat from the CPU. Average case is keeps over turbo''d E5-2687W''s doing continuous burn in at max 60°C. • Great aesthetic, especially on windowed builds. Looks really great • Sturdy on the CPU and tight. • comes with adequate thermal grease Cons : • The posts are supposed to have interchangeable tops when installing 2011 sockets. The top thumb screws are normally impossible to remove from the >=1366 socket posts on which they are shipped. You end up with posts with no tops on 2011 installs. Somewhat more than a nit, but frustrating. • Copper is prone to picking up finger prints and discoloring or burning on if not cleaned *very* carefully. Make sure you are careful to not touch or be sure to clean the surface thoroughly before allowing the block to heat up. • Pricey but worth it for the above pro''s. You can achieve some of the above with cheaper blocks but not all of it. Frankly my favorite CPU water block. I''ve used lots of others but this one outperforms on every measure.

I was running a Corsair H-100 but wanted something better so I did some shopping around and found that FrozenCpu had the most and some of the best prices. I own this block and it really is a great CPU block. Half in OD compression fittings may have a problem with fitting next to each other but the 5/8 OD compression fittings work perfect. This block seems to have very low restriction of coolant flow so it really cools my I7 2600K as I have it OC''d to 4.975 GHZ. Has a great mounting system and is nice and snug. Don''t forget to remove the clear plastic cover before installing! It is heavy so it will soak up a lot of heat. I highly recommend this CPU cooling block.
