The Watercool SILENTstar HD-Single Rev2.0 HDD Water Block Enclosure sets a new standards in the field of active hard drive cooling and insulation. The Silent Star HD Single Rev2.0 cools and insulates a SATA hard disks in a unique way. The cooling elements are made of solid copper plates, combined with tops made of black POM. The cooling performance is optimized by this hybrid style. In combination with the high quality plastic excellent decoupling of the hard drives is achieved. Thin-walled stainless steel tubes connect the cooling profiles with each other. The threads are G1 / 4 "size.
A highlight of the new version is the ability to cool the electronics of the hard disks. An optional Silent Bottom plate can be mounted separately.
The stainless steel casing of the HD-cooler is also closed and the inside complete with a high-quality two-layer insulation lining. The insulation consists of a heavy layer of bitumen and a high-density foam mat. This mix ensures that the high-frequency vibrations and noise are absorbed almost completely.
The installation is very simple, the cooler is supplied pre-assembled, just the hard drives need to be installed. The box is connected with M3 threads with the chassis, the mounting is also possible via a rail system.
For mounting one free 5.25 "drive bays is required.
