The development of the kryos was the most extensive development of a CPU waterblock in Aqua Computer history. From the outside the unusual attention to every detail is not always visible, but each and every detail was simulated in many variants, manufactured and tested. During testing roughly 70 cooling plates and approximately 20 jet plates were manufactures, all versions developed in CAD added up it were more than 1000! In addition to this an extensive testing rig was used and many tests were conducted. During all these numbers and data collected to gain the last 1/10th of a degree we had only one goal: To make the world's best waterblock! During our testing it was put up against all competitors known to us and we only had that one goal: Being better than the rest of the world. We have achieved this during our testing, and currently 15 cuplex cryos are going around the world to prove their status independently.
The basic principle of the waterblock is rather simple and is very similar to the cuplex pro. The water is injected centrally and afterwards passes through he micro-structure in the copper cooling plate which, unlike many competitors, consists of single pins and not slots. This structure is truly fascinating: It features 1911 single copper pins. The pin size of 9.25x0.45mm and almost every single pin has a unique geometry.
The cuplex kryos is offered in 3 different versions:
The high-performance version cuplex kryos XT is for users who wish to get the last 1/10th of a degree our of their system. It is equipped with a nickel-plated top and the new elaborate mounting mechanism including the backplate offers great looks and maximum cooling performance.
The ENTIRE base of the block is 0.925 silver making it absolutely a powerhouse of a waterblock from a performance aspect. The cover material is nickel plated brass!
Warning larger compression fittings will NOT fit this block without the use of adapters!
