In response to the overwhelming demand for a quieter MCP650, Swiftech is proud to introduce the new MCP655 pump, which features several key improvements.
Considerably reduced audible operating noise: the high pitch frequency of the MCP655 is now eliminated thanks to a new chipset controller.
Head and flow characteristics have slightly improved in the midrange
The MCP655 pump is a high reliability, high pressure industrial pump, featuring a 50,000 hour MTBF (5 year lifetime). Such reliability is afforded by the unique design of this pump, which contains only one moving part: the magnetically driven spherical impeller spins on a single ceramic bearing, thus extending the life of this pump beyond existing standards.
The pump is completely plug-and-play, and connects directly to any computer power-supply through standard 4 pin power connectors. It's compact design, quiet and powerful motor make it ideally suited for heavy duty cooling in environments where space is at a premium.

If your tubing system is 3/8" ID this pump will work because of the conversion kit, but they only converted the top tube to 3/8" ID. The tube coming out of the side is still 1/2" ID. You will need to purchase a reducer (1/2" ID to 3/8" ID) to make it fit in a full 3/8" ID tubing system.

this pump rivals any other pc water pump. great flow, great pressure and only about as noisy as a 120mm fan, if that.
nice

nice pump! Not the best but real close. If you use a dremel and skinny sander top you can sand the outport on the inside of the pump and get slightly better flowrates and head preassure.
Awsome Pump

This pump has awsome flow, I had just this 1 pump on my loop that was 2 8800GTX''s and a CPU, 2 radiators and res.And the flow was awsome. I thought I would need 2 pumps but I didnt.

This is running in my watercooling loop, along with a SWiftech Apogee GT, swiftech Microresivior, and a 120x2 and 120x1 Thermaltake Rad''s temps are amazingly better over, my old TT bigwater 745kit, obviously this pump flows nearly 3x more water than the Thermaltake pump. not much else to say about it. Its not nearly as loud as you think i cant hear it over my case fans, which are all 40cfm 120mm fans
