The fan silencer is the future of quiet computing. One of the more prominent causes of noise from a computer are the fans vibrating alongside the case and the fan mounting. With the innovative silencer sandwiched between the case and the fan, the silencer will then cut down significantly on the noise produced by such fans and without inhibiting airflow one bit.

I wasn''t sure what to expect, but it is very "rubbery" and limp. I first put it against my case and then put the screws through it, then screwed the fan to it. It did tend to want to move a little with the screws, but was manageable. I feel good about this gasket, and would order another one again.
Does reduce vibration

These will do exactly what it looks like they do. Provide a buffer between a metal chassis and a high RPM fan. It''s about 5 mm thick too so it will move your fan away from the grill it''s probably blowing against, reducing noise further. That said, if they were thicker and softer then they would perform much better.
Could be Gooier

These are not as soft as I had expected for silicon, but they seem to work.
