This tool is only good for extracting Auxiliary, 3/4-pin Fan or Floppy connector pins. I highly recommend that you get the Original MOLEX Extractor Tool (Mfr. Part #11-03-0044) if you need extract ATX/EPS/PCI-E (aka Mini Fit Jr.) connector pins. In regards to John Strambo''s review, I also have a Corsair PSU and I found that with the connector pins that they use (only with their gold-plated ones), you have to leave the Original MOLEX tool inside the connector putting preasure on the locking tabs for approximately 2 minutes to let them settle closed. Then while firmly holding the tool in place, push the wire up and then pull to extract the connector pin. If that doesn''t work, then leave the tool in there for a little bit longer and try again.

I received the original Molex extraction tool and it has slightly thinner prongs that are perfectly parallel so they slide around the pins more easily. However, as an extra info on my previous review, I had several connectors, some from my PSU and some extensions that came with my case and, the ones that came with the PSU are really hard to take apart (i broke the frozencpu tool on one ot them), so hard that on the +2 of a 6+2 PCI-E connector i had to cut off the +2 part as it didnt came apart at all even with the original Molex extraction tool. The case extension cables instead were easy to take apart, pins came out like from butter so I am thinking that not all connectors have the same tolerances, maybe cheaper ones tolarences are so bad that taking them apart becomes a hassle. (PS: my PSU is a Corsair, if my guess about cheaper connectors is true then I''m quite disappointed).

I make avionics connectors almost all day long, somehow I managed to break this tool. Its slippery and the tool part tends to fall out of the holding part. Maybe my error, maybe not, I''m ordering the Molex original extraction tool for the Mini Fit Jr. series (ATX power, PCI-E power, etc), will see how that one works.
