The all-copper forged thin-pin design provides nominally better performance than earlier MCX159 designs.
The Optional Ultra quiet (18 dBA) VAPO bearing Sunon 40mm fan offers superior MTBF to most stock chipset fans, guaranteeing peace of mind for 5 years or more.
This extreme duty heatsink, coupled with Sunon's whisper quiet and high reliability fan make the MCX159-CU an ideal companion to our "V" series heatsinks.

This solution is also suggested as an alternative for use with liquid cooling systems in lieu of a chipset waterblock. It provides in effect more than sufficient cooling performance without adding unnecessary restrictions to high-flow cooling systems. This will result in overall lower temperatures at the CPU and VGA level, where it really counts.
The MCX159-CU is shipped with hold-down mechanisms for both Intel and AMD platforms.
