Featuring a backlit, bright blue LCD display - our power supply tester can verify that every part of your power supply is operational including the P8 motherboard connector as well as the PCI-E 8-Pin! It gives voltage read-outs and beeps if there is a problem. It even works with 20-pin power supplies (though it will complain about missing second 12 volt rail). This is a must have for systems builders and enthusiasts alike!
This latest Revision comes with an ON/OFF button so overheating the unit is virtually impossible! It also tests 8-Pin motherboard connections as well as 8-Pin PCI-E cables!
Below is a step by step walk thru on how to test for full functionality!
Usage:
→Plug-in your ATX power 24 pin and plug-in (P4/P6/P8) into the tester.
→Turn on your ATX power supply
→LCD shows each voltage and P.G. value on the screen automatic and you can hear 2 beep sounds.
→ATX power output connector checking one by one.
→If power output is working, the LED will light on.
→If power output failed, the LED will not light on.
→Plug-in (HDD/Floppy) connector and check LED light (+12V1/+5V)
→Plug-in SATA connector and check LED light (+12V1/+5V+3.3V)
→Remove the connector after your checking
→Do not plug-in 2 connectors into the tester at the same time(Not include 24 pin connector)
→Abnormal voltage detected will not display on the screen.
→No voltage detect, LL will display on the screen.
→When detected Voltage is lower than Min. Value, LL will display on the screen.
→When detected Voltage is higher than Max. Value, HH will display on the screen.
→When detected voltage is lower than table value (A), will alarm.
→When detected voltage is higher than table value (B), will alarm.
→P.G. value detected lower 100ms or higher 900ms, P.G. value is abnormal and alarm.
→When abnormal happened, it will alarm and relative digit blink on the screen.
Warning: This product is designed only for power supply output tests. Do not leave it connected to the power supply unattended. It generates heat and could possibly damage your power supply.
PLEASE NOTE:
If your power supply tester produces a constant beep and the 12V2 indicates "LL" this does not mean either your power supply or the tester is defective. It simply means the 2nd 12 volt rail is not detected. This is a result of either testing a power supply that does not have a 2nd 12 volt rail, or that you have not plugged in a connector carrying the 2nd 12 volt rail. PCI Express, 4-pin P4, and 8-pin motherboard connectors should all use the 2nd 12 volt rail, and when plugged into the tester, the "LL" indication and beeping noise should cease.
Each Voltage normal range:
+5V, +3.3V, +5VSB is ±5%
+12V1, +12V2, -12V is ±10%

If it reports a very low, high or no voltage at all, it is highly recommended to stop use of the power supply.

After I learned the ATX 20/24 pin had to be plugged in as well as one each of the other connectors. This works great. Pinpointed and confirmed problems.
Very good for basic use.

Satisfied with use of this tester. Gives relatively detailed results about the current functionality of power supplies in any PC troubleshooting situation. Great to make sure a PSU is working, even if it cant really tell a quality PSU from a decent one. Beeping is annoying as hell, though it serves its purpose: wish it wasn''t quite so loud.
Totally does the job

This thing does just what you need it to do!!
Saves me LOTS of time guessing about power supplys! Nice price!

Works as advertised. Checks every connection from power supply unlike other testers I considered. Will give better readout than the cheaper led model giving real decimal power numbers so you know how close to nominal it''s putting out. The beeping until you hook up the 2nd rail is kind of annoying but will make you work quick.
