The ultimate in airflow to noise ratio, iXtrema Pro Quiet Fans are the only fans in the industry to be designed with silence and optimal airflow in mind. Smaller, domed motor hub, larger, more dramatic fan blade sweep area, no other fans on the market come even close in performance!
The new Fluid Dynamic Bearings offer better fan life, don't burn up lubricant, and run quieter. One symptom of the note is that the bearing fluid becomes less viscous during disuse, so the fan may run slowly before it is properly warmed up. Regular usage will avoid this problem.
Foward Sweeping Fan Blades
The forward sweeping fan blade design increases static pressure compared to other silent fans and offers better airflow in areas where ventilation is restricted.
Reduced Motor Size
The reduced motor size and conical shape allows for the largest blade surface area of any fan and improves aerodynamics compared to the cylindrical dead-spot of other silent fans.
Rubber Fan Mounts
The silicone-composite fan mounts dampen motor vibration and prevents resonance or so-called "case rattle" caused when fan vibrations reaches the chassis.
Power Connector Converter
The included power connector converter cable lets the user choose to use either standard 4-pin power supply connectors or the 3-pin RPM monitoring capable fan connectors.

well I ordered a total of 7 of these for my new build and they work as well as it says. I have 1 that makes some noise I think its a bad bearing but the others push alot of air without the noise. I suppose 1 out of 7 isn''t bad
Great.... when it worked

Great fans, move a ton of air as advertised, not THAT quiet but I want performace so its ok. I bought 3 of them and 1 sometimes fails to start now so I have to spin it up to get it going. The other started making a ticking noise so I had to bend the shit out it to get it to stop and even then it still ticks a bit.
Great fans but not very reliable
Well, this is something new..

I owned this fan for about 6 months. I really don''t think it moves as much air as they claimed. It was quiet, but you are prolly buying this for the red leds which were very weak. I''m glad I was using this for an exhaust fan because after 6 months in service it cracked RIGHT DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE HUB! I didn''t notice intitially because the leds were working and it appeared to be spinning. I''ve never seen a fan crack down the middle before and since this THE most expensive fan I''ve ever bought, I expected a long service life. These fluid dynamic bearings are causing problems for people, I reccommend you stay away. I got a yate loon 120mm fan at the same time with blue led and 44cfm that is silent and still going strong as my fan for the Thermalright Ultra 120 heatsink. The Yate Loon was 1/4 of this price! keep shopping.
pretty good but....

Bought 3 of these and they work very well. There was a strong smell when I first used them but it went away pretty quickly (or I just got used to it).The only reason I gave it a 3 was because one of the fans has this god awful squeaking sound that just randomly starts when my PC is on.Everything will be going fine then the squeaking will start then stop a few minutes later. It''s pretty friggin annoying and it becomes an even bigger issue when you take the price tag into consideration.I''m not saying that they are guaranteed to be flawed, only noting that I received a somewhat buggy product.
