Nice little thermometer, be advised it uses +5VDC

This is a nice gadget. Accurate, good viewing angle for a LCD. It runs on +5VDC, however, so if you''re using this somewhere other than in a PC like I was, keep that in mind. I ended up using a 7805 voltage regulator to drop my +12VDC supply to +5VDC to run the thermometer.
Useless in a 5.25 bay

These units work awesome. But like a tragic hero, they have greater cons than pros. Firstly, they will always boot up on F instead of C (99.99% of the enthusiast community uses celcius). So if you build your computer and use them in a 5.25 bay, then every time you boot your computer you''ll need to take it out (5.25 bay device) and hit the small button at the back to turn it back to C. If these (cause they are all the same) units are somewhere easy to reach, then there''s no worries (though it gets annoying).
