Got these for my DDR3 RAM for my SuperMicro X58 mb. The only issue I have is they are quite FAT, meaning you can populate the RAM slots only every other slot. For the X58 boards this is OK, unless you want to fill all slots. Then you cannot use this heatsink. But for my current 4x4GB loading they work fine. I fan cool the memory array and I never see over about 35 C with these. They have a high mass of copper so they soak up heat transients quite well.
