Right form but made too cheaply

Awful fan, runs ok at 800rpm but absolutely wails at full speed. What''s worse is if pwm control causes the fan to slow down and speed up constantly. WAIL-quiet-WAIL-quiet... Replace the fan with a Silverstone FN83 that has the same mounting and size and it''ll be fine.
The base is copper but has a very rough surface. Mine came with a bonus fingerprint indelibly etched into it. There was no film or anything protecting the base when it was packed.
The push pin mountings are the worst I''ve tried as well. When they''re turned the spring makes a grinding noise and the pin might not lock or go down all the way. Be really careful to check that the base and all 4 pins are securely attached to the motherboard.
I wasn''t looking for cheap as much as I just needed a design that would fit in my Thermaltake Lanbox with the DFI LANPARTY JR P45-T2RS. That''s a motherboard with a northbridge heatsink that absolutely prevents the use of a low profile Meorb style cooler.

I''m using this in a Ultra Micro Fly Mx6 case that won''t take a tall cooler. it fits with 0.5cm to spare. very quiet. no complaints.
