I have had a lot of trouble with getting Tt pumps getting a loop going. This isn''t just isolated to the p500.
I''m running two test loops right now (before putting everything in my system). The primary loop with an mcp 350 (with EK aftermarket top) immediately started pushing water as soon as it was turned on.
In contrast, the p500 took about 30 minutes of coaxing before I could get the loop going. It makes terrible noises when it''s just spinning with no water coming in and out. Even when the water is going, you''ll still hear some scary noises for a while until it settles down. I haven''t been able to successfully bleed the loop with my p500, water just doesn''t want to push through the swiftec radiator...
Consider yourself warned. I''d pick up another mcp 350 if I were you!

Got one of these as part of the M5 aqua kit and it lasted all of about 3 hours. Sounds like an air compressor. Total junk.
Do not buy this pump

I recently built a high-dollar liquid cooled system, and had TWO of these pumps.... both of them just quit spinning one day, with no noises, or warning, after a fraction of their advertised life expectancy.
Great Pump!

Highly recommended! I have two of these running in separate computers and they are very quiet, have great volume and do an excellent job. Easy to mount with included screws.
For best value, look for Thermaltake Aquabay M5 kit. It includes this pump and a reservoir.
Great
