Dark Knight-S1283V retains the brilliant record of HDT-S1283 family - powerful, outstanding, high performing and user friendly. The Black Nickel creates a very gentle and noble image, which also increases cooling performance. Like other H.D.T. series coolers, it comes with the advantage of light weight, easy installation, anti-vibration, performance and user friendly.

Great heatsink... average fan

Solid construction, well-packed, spoiler can be placed at varying heights to cool chipsets. Big fan of the heatsink. Not so big a fan of the, ahem, fan. It works... but it''s a bit noisy. I ordered a Scythe to replace the fan. Also, does NOT include screw-down bracket, just push-pins. Replacing the fan and buying the retention bracket cost an extra $25. Be warned of additional costs... but the heatsink ITSELF stands on par with the best of the tower coolers easily in temperatures, and many online reviews have shown this.
Questionable Build Quality

The fan was DOA and I had to use a 120mm Scythe case fan. Seems to work as well as the one that came with it. Also, the top fin of the heatsink popped off while installing in. Pressed it back on , but that shouldn''t have happened (I wasn''t being rough with it). After all that it works fairly well. Would have liked to have RMA''d it, but the policies are too onerous (didn''t want to wait two weeks for them to send out another plus pay for shipping on a defective product).
Probably the best

I got this fan. Overall I can say that its the best fan i''ve ever had. I overclocked my core 2 duo to 3.0 ghz and increased the vcore above stock to keep it stable. During idle im usually 28C and when playing crysis for awhile i check and its 30C. Its cool that it can keep it at that temp on load. The only cons I had was installation which takes some figuring out and also make sure your case can fit this it is huge.
