IC Diamond 7 Carat Thermal Compound maximizes thermal heat transfer between the CPU core and heatsink by taking advantage of diamond's superior thermal conductivity
Purified synthetic diamond has a thermal conductivity of 2,000-2,500 W/mK compared to 406-429 W/mK for pure silver.
Diamond's five times better thermal conductivity compared to silver makes it a superior heat transfer material for cooling high performance CPUs and is electrically non-conductive and non-capacitive.
Application: IC Diamond is composed mostly of diamond powder, and as such is quite thick. Proper application is critical to optimum performance. Squeeze onto the center of the CPU an amount of IC Diamond compound about the size of a pea - the center of the CPU is where most heat is concentrated. Place the heatsink on the CPU and push down to spread IC Diamond over the CPU's surface. Clamp the heatsink and power up the PC.
Curing Time: IC Diamond requires minimal time to attain peak performance; in most cases, IC Diamond will reach peak performance after two hours of use.
Stability: IC Diamond is designed for stability - it will not bleed or separate in normal use.

I actually bought the 4.8g tube, but it won''t let me place a review there. . . Regardless, simply replacing the TIM on the stock heatsink that comes with a retail i7 920 with this wonderful diamond compound dropped my temps by approx. 10 degrees Celsius. Amazingly efficient, and easy to recommend to anyone else out there.
Does Exactly What It Says

For all my applications, this compound lowered temperatures by 8 to 12 degrees (10 degrees being the average) further than any other compound used. It does require that the tube be heated in hot water for 5-7 minutes then you are able to apply the compound. The big plus is even if you use too much (hard to do), the compound is non-conductive.

IC Diamond is the best thermal paste ive used. With my lapped TRUE and lapped q6600, achieved lower temps than mx-2, ac5, oc freeze, tm 0098 and zalman super grease. Im the kind of person who wants the best performance, from my testing, this is the best.
excellent thermal interface

i bought a few pastes last week to try and experiment cooling my gpu (8800gtx oc) i was idling in the mid 50s and loading in the mid/high 70s.
i took off the stock cooler and found cheap silicon paste, alot of it! i put a pea size right in the middle applied new thermal pads to the memory and now im getting mid 40s in idle and low 60s on load. i''m quite impressed, and im betting when i apply it to my cpu ill get even lower temps.

Lowered my CPU core temperature by 5 degrees as compared to silver based compound. They actually use Diamond dust which had a much greater thermal conductivity of silver. Great stuff, make sure you apply it in a straight line across the cores.
