wanted to add some HDDs to a V1000B case. know this rack is designed for a different model, but FrozenCPU said it would work. it does, but needs minor modification. in my case, it would not fit flush with the front panel because of interference from a set of small flanges built into a 5.25" bay to support drives while you slide them into place for installation. I cut a notch out of the front of each flange with tinsnips and rack slid perfectly into place. now looks great. dremel would do better job, but was in hurry.

lian li has improved on their development of virtually perfect products with this release. This hard drive insert fit well into its assigned slot, looks great, and performs perfectly. I cannot recommend this product enough.

Functional and elegant design. The screws that come with the cage stick out from the hard drive and these rest in the rubber grommets. This mechanism for fixing the drives works well, and really cuts down on idle hard drive noise. I used to use a hot-swap cage -- the drives were screwed into metal trays and the metal trays rested in the metal cage that was fixed in the case with metal screws: lots of hard drive noise. The noise has been greatly reduced. This cage is made of aluminum and feels a bit flimsy, but comes with a fan and an air filter. Long.
