The Arctic Cooling Freezer XTREME Rev. 2Universal CPU Cooler is designed to offer the enthusiast’s market an ultimate CPU cooler for extreme overclocking. The Freezer XTREME is an extremely quiet, twin tower CPU cooler especially designed for gamers to fulfill their needs. The unique twin tower heatsink consists of 102 fins, which significantly increase the heat dissipation area to distribute massive amount of heat faster and more efficient. The 120mm PWM fan which combined with 8 heatpipes (4 double-sided) and the twin tower heatsink not only transfers heat from the CPU, but it also cools the RAM, north bridge and voltage regulators. Together with the pre-applied MX-2, the Freezer Xtreme offers performance far beyond stock coolers and achieves 160 Watts cooling capacity – an excellent thermal management that boosts overclocking to a new level. The bigger the fan doesn’t mean the noisier the cooler will be. The 120mm fan of the Freezer Xtreme is equipped with low noise impeller and patented fan holder for quiet operation. Controlled by PWM signal, the fan runs just the necessary speed for lowest noise level at maximum cooling capacity. The result is outstanding – the Freezer Xtreme generates only 0.5 Sone at full load, much quieter than the standard and aftermarket coolers even with a bigger fan.

Pros: Great cooler, the price was right. I have used this for over a year now. I also have a Spire Eclipse but use this one instead.
Cons: LARGE, check the room of your case before you buy it.
This cooler is really nice, I got mine to install it into a min tower case which have enough space for this cooler. It does a decent job at keeping the CPU cool, but when you start adding fans. Awesome ! This cooler is big enough to add two 120mm fans on either side. The strong air flow dissipate heat from the CPU efficiently, even though the noise will be louder than just one fan. That allow me to push my system to its maximum. It does a terrific job ! It is keeping my 955 BE 3.2 over clocked to 4.2 GHZ at a nice 41 C at idle I have never seen it go over 65 C with a load on it. Usually never goes over 60 loaded.
HUGE benefits

When I got this Cooler, (Being in the big box that it is) I was very confident that it will solve my cooling problems. Now to be honest, this was the ONLY product I bought to reach my goal. I mount this one my ASUS P9X79 WS board. I had pre-installed a front fan and a back fan for max airflow. My situation was that my temps were 63C on load. Ambient temperatures were near the 45C and all of it –on idle! My PC shuts off without notice when playing games that use both the CPU and the GPU intensively. Now on to the Cooler; this cooler is HUGE. Not too heavy, but it''s definitely big. The cooler that I had (Stock), is much smaller. It''s only an inch away from the side panel, where I was planning to attach another fan but the performance of this cooler really brings no need for this.
Here is the result: CPU IDLE 32 C/CPU LOAD 50 C, more than 10 degree drops! That’s amazing!
Works good for me.

I am using it on EVGA P55 Classified 200 & a i5-750 overclocked. Barely clears the NB but otherwise it does fit. Cools well, CPU temp about 40C.
