DEMCiflex Computer Air Filter is the easiest of all Computer Air Filters to use. No need for any skills. No Glue, No Screws, No Tools and No Hassles. All you have to do is to locate your computer's air intake vents. Use a sheet of paper to see if any particular fan draws air into the case or blows it out. All inlet fans and un-fanned openings can be protected by DEMCiflex.
These filter are magnetic and will attach themselves to the metal strip that is supplied. Simply stick and peel the strip and your filter is ready to install!
Because the mesh is white it is easy to see when the filter needs cleaning. After cleaning out the unit initially maintenance consists of taking the DEMCifilter off by hand, dusting it off by hand or soft brush and replacing it over the air intake. That simple. No dismantling, no tools, no glue or screws needed. DEMCifilter has no moving parts and has a one-piece lightweight design. DEMCifilter is fitted over the fan intake or vent holes by way of magnetic strip built into the filter. Even if the case is non-metallic, a lightweight and flexible magnetic frame (optional extra) can be fitted to the case and DEMCifilter can be fitted onto it. This will extend the lifespan of the computer and lead to less downtime and an overall more enjoyable computer experience.

one 8-hour gaming session proves effectiveness of filter

As an experiment, I took off the b-gears filter, remounted my 3000 rpm 120mm kaze, and placed the deciflex filter over the bare opening. (I had cut that opening myself - a 4-hour painful process involving about 200 tiny drill holes - and I completely removed the material, rather than what I should have done in 30 mins - just drilled a pattern of large holes like my new case has for any area where I can mount a fan. So I was a little afraid the filter material would get sucked in by the powerful kaze, but no worries - the material seems to be sturdily mounted on the filter frame.)
I ran the rig for 8 hours of Far Cry 2. Here is the 1200dpi scan shrunk to 1/6 size. http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u343/harvardguy/deciflex8hourskaze-wholeimage.jpg] and here is the full-size scan of a small section http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u343/harvardguy/deciflex8hourskaze-smallsection.jpg] I overlaid that orange circle outline to show where the fan spindle stopped any airflow - the filter collected enough dust, in one session, to clearly outline the spindle. I am blown away!!
THIS IS LIKELY THE BEST FILTER ON THE MARKET!
I believe the material is similar, if not identical, to women''s hosiery, and I remember reading that hosiery is very effective as filter material. I will be purchasing 4 more of these filters in the next 5 minutes. By the way, I appreciate how they show how many are in stock (unlike other sites that make you go back and reduce your order - good job on your website, Frozencpu. LOL) Best wishes, guys. -Rich

This is an elaboration of the first review. These are the pictures of the test, deciflex vs silverstone and b-gears. Here is a reduced (by about 3 to 1) image of the 1200 dpi scan of the 3 filter materials http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u343/harvardguy/deciflextestwith2otherfilters.jpg] and here is the deciflex, with small sections of the other filters placed over the mesh - you can clearly see the deciflex has a finer mesh, 9 times finer in fact, than the silverstone, and to my surprise, the multi-layered b-gears material, my favorite up to now which I have used for 8 years, has some rather large openings compared to the deciflex, which explains why a certain amount of dust still always gets through. http://i518.photobucket.com/albums/u343/harvardguy/deciflextestwith2otherfilters-cross-sections.jpg] The filter is cleaned just by running it under a faucet from the back of the filter, then allow it to dry for about 10 hours. Best regards, Rich
duhhh - correction - that last one should have been 5-stars

Whoops, details details. My last review, the elaboration of the first review with picture links, was of course 5 stars. Sorry, Rich

Compare the mesh size to others, for example the Silverstone at newegg. Looking under a magnifying glass, there are 4-9 meshes of this filter, inside of each mesh of the Silverstone. That means more effective filtering of the tiniest dust particles. Magnet holds strong - make sure you remove the second magnet (yes - it is there stuck to the main one) before putting it on the case. LOL
