High-quality materials were used when producing the Kaze Server. The front consists of brushed aluminum and accentuates the illuminated LCD display in an optimal way. Only the highest quality materials are used: Stylish brushed aluminum coupled with the illuminated blue display makes the Scythe Kaze server a premium fan controller.
The Scythe Kaze Server 5.25" 4 Channel Fan Controller can be set to manual, auto or semi-auto for total control. Manual control gives you total control when you want to change it. Auto can be used to preset temperature thresholds that will trigger fan speed increases or decreases. You can mix the two with semi-auto and enjoy the best of both. You can turn the display off while still having the control active and functioning which is perfect for entertainment HTPC chassis and the like.

Works for my System ATCS 840 Case

This is my first Fan Controler. Packaging was good. Contents packaged so you could find everything. Install went slow for me as I had to make some ajustments to auto lock in the drive bay but works perfectly after my ajustments and a screw on the opsite side. Well the Instructions suck multible languages everything is scattered about. It too me 3 hours to figgure out the you PUSH the control Knobs to change from Auto to Semi to Man. In Auto mode you''ll have to ajust temps to get fan speeds the controler reacts very slowly. I installed the Temp probes #1 front of the case reading incoming Ambient temp. #2 I set on the my Ram heat sink, #3 I set in the top rear reading temp exiting the case and #4 on the chip set heat sink. Oh my Fans are #1 200 CM front case intake, #2 230 CM front top of case, #3 230 CM Rear Top of case and #4 140 CM Bottom Center Front of the case. Everything seems to be doing exacty what I expect. All my wiring is behind the MotherBoard so I didn''t bother with wire casing. As I said ths is my first so I can''t make any comparisons. I''ll post again if I gather any other data worth passing on. Scythe really needs to post or print a clear Operation Manual this should have been a 30 Minute install and set up.
Clean and Functional

I''ve had mine installed for about three months. Nice clean look, although the silver trim is more prominent than might be expected. Very high quality feel. On mine, the upper display line (rpm# is green-blue, while the bottom is dark blue. Difficult to read unless straight-on #maybe not an issue for HTPC apps). Sensitive and accurate with +/- 1C difference compared to on-mobo-monitoring. Would highly recommend, particularly for HTPC boxes at head level. FrozenCPU service stellar as always.
Awesome features, bad display

Many awesome features in this version. I have purchased each version and this one can auto control your fans based on temperature. I set mine to manual and adjust them myself in order to avoid having to set the temperature probes (cleaner case) I ordered mine sleeved which helps as all the wires are sleeved. The display on this one sucks compared to the last 2 versions. This one is a bluish/whitish font color lcd display with horrible angle aspect. I sit to the left of my computer and cannot even see anything from it. You have to look straight on and about a foot or more back to see anything. Even close up it is too hard to make out. Heres wishful thinking for a ks02 version. As for the controlling the fan, the knobs just keep going up or down with no mechanism to make them stop when reaching the max or min levels. The last 2 versions had this stopping point.
What more could you want?

For the adult look, go with this. Its very subtle, shows you just the info you want. I like the three modes, its easy to use and understand. I highly recommend the sleeving as it cleans up the cables nicely. Only two issues, one, view angle isn''t great, second, there is a pretty big delay between fan adjustment and seeing that speed. Somewhat common in fan controllers though.
