XTC (Xtreme Thermal Convection) Heat Spreaders
XTC Heat Spreaders optimize the thermal management of memory modules by promoting greater airflow by means of micro-convection throughout what is usually the dead air space inside conventional heat spreader designs. In this manner, build-up of heat is avoided and thermal dissipation of the memory components is offloaded more efficiently through the honeycomb design. At the same time, mechanical stability is maintained.

The pics dont do it justice, with no other lights in my case it lights up my room. I made the mistake of thinking I could just snap the LEDs off the fans, no such luck, they are stuck on there no office switch and if you break them off fan no longer works. That was a costly mistake. Dont get these if your going for the adult look.
