Does the job... and does it well

I installed this on my GTX 470. My GPU and PCB temps have both went down by about 20c on both idle and load. I was very skeptical of this aftermarket cooler before I bought it, but it undoubtedly works great. The only issues I have with this cooler is the adhesive that is used to attach the ram and vrm heatsinks as they''re just stickers and make me nervous about potentially falling off the board. I suppose if they do come off I can use thermal epoxy to reattach them, but still. Otherwise it''s very quiet and cools very nice. I recommend it.

One of the better coolers.

I bought this a couple weeks ago for a 260GTX. Originally I was getting temps around 60-80c, after the install of the cooler I never breach 45c ever. Overclocked the card, and was able to get 3x more clock than before. One of the better coolers for your VGA card. SIDE NOTE ** If using EVGA Precision, Fan control DOES work with this cooler. ALSO buy different thermal paste for "gluing" the heatsinks on the card, the double-sided tape included is garbage. **

Super quiet vs stock, and great cooling!

This thing is super quiet. Even with the fans on 100%, I cannot hear it from outside the case. The heat sink on the cooler was very flat, but had some ridges, so I lapped it down so it is perfectly flat. I also lapped the GPU on my GTX470 down flat. Torture tested in FurMark Xtreme burn in mode, my GPU now runs 29ºC cooler than it did with the stock cooler on the same setting.

Not a good solution

Ok I used this on a EVGA GTX 460 and at first I was happy. Then the blackouts started. I then installed Nvidia''s performance monitor and noted that the GPU was reaching 210F with pretty much any game I was playing. I did put everything together correctly. Double checked it. Re-pasted it with better thermal paste. And still was getting horrible overheating. I wish I didn''t through out the packaging... I would search for another solution.

Fantastic cooler. Worth every penny.

I slapped this thing on my GTX 470 and it dropped the load temps from 95*C to 80*C in Crysis. Furmark would normally crash the card from temps and now it keeps it at 85*C. Any other game it stays around 70-75*C. I recommend this cooler to anyone who wants to overclock on any card. Mind you all, these temps were from a card overclocked and overvolted to these points, 850mhz core, 1700mhz shader, 2000mhz memory according to MSI, (4000mhz effective memory clock) and it was at 1.087v. You know you want to. Buy it. :D Installation was as easy as breathing by comparison to a few other heatsinks out there.

A worthy investment for sure

The price may be a bit high, but compared to a waterblock and all that crap it''s nothing really. I found the heat sink on my GTX 480 to be seriously lacking which is why I bought the Icy vision. I''ve had it installed for about 15hrs now, and have seen a dramatic reduction in temps 10/15C I can even attempt to overclock this beast. Installation was a bit of a pain, And I think I''ve used the wrong screws, I forgot to insert the washers as well. The instruction manual has 2 sets of instructions on either side an ATI side and an Nvidia side, the legend for the hardware is at the top of the ATI side so when say''s heat sink A,B or C you''ll have to look on the ATI side for that information. I didn''t notice it until I already had my mini sinks placed and the cooler screwed on

Wow! Works Very Well

This Cooler dropped my idle temps on my BFG GTX285 from 45c to 35c and now I don''t have driver crashes every thirty minutes. The build quality is very good and it was easy to install but time consuming as it has small parts and the thermal tape is hard to peel. Great cooler thanks GELID and FrozenCPU

Does NOT fit XFX 4890 Cards

As the title suggests, I purchased this cooler, unsure as to whether XFX changed the ref. PCB layout or not, and they did. They moved a pair of capacitors to be right next to the GPU, and the bottom heatpipe (bottom in reference to the pictures here on frozencpu) hits the capacitors. Not a knock on the cooler itself by any means, just informational for any other XFX 4890 owners.

Massive temp and noise level improvements!!

Installation took a bit longer than i would have expected. the instructions are pretty good but the pictures aren''t too great so you really need to read carefully. Comes with everything you need to cool tons of cards. I have a 5850 that was running rather hot after i moved into a mid tower lian li case with a full side window. there was little airflow near the graphics card and it would idle at about 44C with the fan on 30%. When gaming I would get temps in the 60-70C range with the fan around 40%. at that point the fan would begin to get loud and annoying. After putting this new heatsink on my card idles at 36C and during gaming only got up to the mid 40s. as far as noise goes i can barely even hear the fans when theyre at 100% so its really quiet. now i''ll definitely have to do some overclocking
