This unit would have recieved 5/5 if not for its sudden failure 11months after I purchased it. All atempts to contanct Lamptron have been met with silence. This company is based out of China with no satellite offices in the US. Do not expect any customer service outside of your retailer when purchasing Lamptron products.

I found the aluminum face nicely made, and the display looks good in my full tower Nvidia green case. The sampling rate seems right on the money, and ads a very nice touch to the overall look of my 990X AMD eater. I was amazed that it had a Molex power plug. Are you guys serious? What is this? 1990? The temp sensor wires are too short for a full tower case to probe the PS temp. I added a foot and it seems to work fine. The wires for the temp probes are white (and I MEAN white) and don''t look so nice snaking through my all black inside machine, but I snuck them in the back as best I could. The mounts on the sides are a bit short like many controllers, so it really doesn''t ride in a slot so stable. This will do just fine though until I go all liquid. It''s a lot better than many out there with the bad, cheap looking touch screens and rated at 30 Watts I won''t have to worry about power handling. Overall it''s a good controller, but I honestly don''t think they ran it by too many serious builders before production.
What else to you need to convince you that this is the best and hot item??

Everyone wants one. Where''s yours? This is simply the best. You can connect many to this controller. Heavy duty. I love how you can change the colors.

I bought & received my FC-5v2. I installed it per instructions & it worked perfectly. Fan speeds went from 0rpm to full speed very smoothly!!! Temp readout was accurate & precise. Only thing I didn''t like was that there''s no way to change colors without taking unit completely out. I solved it by putting 3 switches on it. Now it''s perfect. Thanks FrozenCPU !!!!

I just received my controller, and am very pleased with it. I had frozenCPU sleeve all the cables, and they once again did an excellent job. quality of this unit seems very high, switches turn freely and with a pleasant uniform resistance, much like quality audio equipment. display readout is clear, and with purchasing an sata-4molex adapter from this site, I didn''t have to install an old molex cable just for this device, awesome!

This is the best fan controller I have ever owned. The display is crisp from every angle. The colors are vibrant. I love the customization options. You just move jumpers around on the PCB to change the colors. You can also choose whether you want the alarm to sound or not if fans stop working. If you don''t use the thermal probes you can have the display show the fans voltages instead. Build quality as well as fit and finish is also very good.
If I had to list any cons they would be: 1. Price (still worth it as far as I’m concerned) 2. The knobs are a little flimsy but are still very good and accurate.

The fan controller came in today and installed right away, and such a life saver, I been live in a environment with 4*3000 rpm fans for a week now and it was such a nightmare, can''t even sit and use my computer for more than 20 mins. This controller help me to keep my fan speed low while mantain a good temp on my CPU (i7 980x on water), also it looks cool too.
BTW, FrozenCpu guys did hell of a sleeving job on all the cables, they don''t use some cheap sleeves like some others do and they made all the heatshrick even length too. Thanks alot FrozenCpu
