I''ve been building PC''s for about 10 years now, and have used everything from Intel Stock Coolers, to extreme LN. For the price (I paid $60.00 at Bst By), this is one heck of a cooler. I7-940 (stock 2.97), overclocked to 4.2, idle: 18C, load: 30C. I put a second fan on it, for the push-pull affect. One note, don''t hook the pump to a fan controller, it will burn up. Trust me. Good thing the return counter at Bst By doesn''t know anything...

Tricky install, but the result is amazing

As the first reviewer I had to rate this five stars even though I would have docked it one for the instruction manual. That was the only drawback I could find for this product...namely the part about which way the arms on the retaining ring should face when installing the plastic screw retainers. I installed mine the wrong way...fortunately, a butter knife and some firm pressure popped them out, and they went back in the other way and installation went well. This might not be an overclocker''s tool, but it is a solid introduction to liquid cooling. It mounts easily in a case in place of an existing 120mm fan, it hooks into the CPU header for power, and with my existing Aerocool FP-01 fan controller, works wonderfully. Additionally the solid copper coldplate has a little overlap over the CPU, which means I have a great place to install a thermistor for accurate thermal readings. I may replace it if I can afford to upgrade to an EK modular cooling kit, but I would see it sold used to another buyer because it will do much good...it keeps a hot CPU cool and with far less noise!
