I have been using this device in a micro tower chassis. It holds 4x1TB "non-green" 7200 rpm hard disks.
When I pulled it out of the box it seemed "flimsy", but using all 4 screws on each hard disk is the secret to a very sturdy mounting.
The fan keeps the HDD temperatures between 30 & 35 C. Having a 3-pin fan helps in monitoring it''s speed. The noise is not bad if the case it tucked under a desk.
I would buy this again if I have the need for another.
