Care is needed

The 20-pin connector is a bad design and, while there is nothing wrong with this part, it is asking to snap the connector off the motherboard. I used a wired-based version (available from FrozenCPU) the is less risky but still take little for to detach. A compact right-angle connector is needed and I cannot find one manufactured.

These work fine, I have this one already along with a 19 pin to 9 pin USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 converter kind of odd ball I know but it does work fine, wish they made the 19 pin convert down to 2 9 pin usb 2.0''s but oh well. Frozen CPU has always been there for me and would recommend them to anyone.
ps the guy that broke off his connector, be more careful and not so rambunctious! mobos and their components are expensive.

it doesn''t fit on the Asus 990fx sabertooth board interferes with the PCI express video card I got rambunctious with it and broke the connector was my fault . Lian-li should have made a connector end for my case the pc-9f they have one now but not sure it would works on
Works GREAT!

Not sure what happened with the other reviewer, but the USB3 speeds are right up there with the rear mobo ports using this adapter. The only thing I can think of is he must have connected it to a USB2 socket on his case front (or USB2 cable)...
In my case, it would have been better if the ports were at a 45 degree angle to the plug. But, speeds are NO PROBLEM whatsoever...
If you need internal USB3 connectors, this is a great solution!
Not true usb 3.0 speeds

I know this isn''t a true testing methodology but I moved photos back and forth (780mb) between this and my motherboards usb 3.0 port and basically write speeds were around 30 mb/s with this as to a native usb port on my motherboard which was 60 mb/s.
For all I know it could be the connectors on my case, anyways not a bad product overall. I rather have working usb ports on the front then non working. A little bit on the pricy side though for such a small item. I guess that''s what happens when it''s the first one made.
