This light is not very well designed... When I bought this from another site (still same product) I also bought a dual 6" logisys UV kit, one of those 6 inch ccfl''s easily puts out 4 or 5 times the UV light, if I put my hand between it and my sleeving, my blue case fans light the sleeving up way more, maybe a good choice if you have no other sources of light in your case.

I just bought 4 of these, haven''t tried them yet, as the case hasn''t shipped yet, but the finish on these are horrible. The sleeving are seethru, the heatshrink doesn''t keep the sleeving tight, so it losens completely or partly and there is some silvery tape at the ends wich aren''t always correctly placed. I have paid thousands of dollars for this rig and don''t think I want to use them, will have to see when the rig is finished. Oh, and they have a 4 pin molex plug, talk about being vissible. Sigh!

- I bought two "Lamptron Inverterless Cathode Spectral Bar - UV (henceforth, Spectral Bar for short)" units because FrozenCPU was out of stock of the "Logisys UV 12" LED Sunlight Stick (henceforth, Sun-stick for short)" units which I currently have in my case, because I need additional lights. I am very disappointed with the Spectral Bar and would NOT recommend purchasing it.
- Compared to the Sun-stick, the Spectral Bar is a very dim light. In daylight, the Spectral Bar gives off no glow whatsoever, compared to the Sun-stick which is highly visible, even in daylight.
- The Spectral Bar also has a very short cable power cable (only 12") and does not allow for daisy-chaining of other units (see product picture) unlike the Sun-Stick which offers a much longer power cable (roughly 26"!) and daisy-chain capability for connecting additional units.
- The only redeeming factors about the Spectral Bar are the fact that the light source is defused and not harsh like the Sun-Stick where the LED''s create ''dots'' of color on the inside of the case and that it is slightly easier to mount than the Sun-stick since it has a larger surface area for applying double sided tape. The Spectral Bar also seems to be slightly (key word, slightly!) more of a ''true'' UV light than Sun-stick, casting less of a purple color but illuminating more UV reactive material.
- It is true that this is an Inverterless cathode bar and that in itself is impressive but the Sun-stick doesn''t require an inverter either so that does not help for comparison purposes.
- Final Verdict: The "Lamptron Inverterless Cathode Spectral Bar - UV" is unimpressive in daylight, overall not very bright, has a short power cable with a terminal end but is more of a ''true'' UV light and casts a ''cleaner'' glow. I would recommend buying the "Logisys UV 12" LED Sunlight Stick" instead for a brighter light that works in all lighting conditions.

Bought this and it looks bright in the pic but when i got it that''s not so. Not bright at all. My old uv lights are easily 3 x brighter and were 1/2 the price.

Had to replace some 3.5 y/o standard CCFL UV bars. Saw these advertised, and not having to mess with an inverter was very appealing. I decided to attach new LED strips to the inside base. Got the LED''s out of the eyeline of the window, and now I have an awesome radioactive blue glow from inside the case, with no obvious source, and the yellow UV sleeving on all my cables jumps out and pokes you in the eye. All in all, you can''t go wrong with these.

At first when I got them I was a bit skeptical due to the frosted tube cover...but once I plugged these things in...damn. They are exceptional. Hits every UV accent in my case like a flare. Very impresses and recommended above any CCFL due to inverter-less nature. Easy to just remove pins and solder them together as you see fit. Great product.

This is the best uv light I''ve ever gotten. Great quality very bright. It brightens my uv water cooling very nicely inside my case. Highly recommended.......
