Silent and powerful

I bought an XFX Radeon HD 660Ti for my wife''s computer, and the stock cooler on that thing was INSANELY loud. The stock cooler idled around 40% fan speed, and it was loud even then. The slightest 3D action bumped it to 70-80% and resulted in a wicked, loud, high pitch noise. I bought this cooler and couldn''t be happier. I had some worries about its compatibility, but it turn out to be that my worry is unreasonable. And it''s definitely not the easiest, completely painless installation, but it was totally worth it. On this card, had to pull some stock heat sinks (the heatsinks that enhance the heat dissipation in RAM and VR units ), and the new heatsinks that came in this package were a little tight fit in places. The thermal glue come with the cooler is very adhesive. So you do not need to worry that the heat sinks will fall apart. I measured the temp after installation. I saw load temps drop from 65C to 52C, while being totally silent. After 3 months this cooler is still running strong! Temps are the same as reported previously. Everything is going well. No need to worry that the card will be overheated.

Want it now

I have this item installed on a AMD Radeon HD 6950. I purchased this item for two reasons: the stock cooler was extremely loud and didn''t do a very good job at cooling. The installation procedure was straightforward, the installation instructions are also clear. The assembly also takes up the video card slot and, realistically speaking, the next two slots in your case, so you use a total of 3 slots including the slot the video is installed in. it is advantageous to remove the fan assembly from the product while attaching the heat sink to the GPU. My stock cooler for my GPU was loud and performed poorly. After installation of the Twin Turbo 2, the GPU maintains an idle temperature of ~40 degrees Celsius and a load temperature of ~65 degrees Celsius, with barely any noise from either scenario. That’s an amazing cooler for those who can not suffer the heat and noise from your stock cooler.

Nice for a begineer

I bought this product to cut down on the on the sound from the gpu whilist playing games. These units now have G-1 thermal paste that is not conductive to apply to the additional heat sinks for memory and voltage regulators. Which is a great and it even cleans off real nice too(takes 5 hours to cure though) It cools of the gpu decently still hit mid 60c while gaming on bf3 and im do idle down in the 36c range now. But my gpu fans died recently and new ones are being sent out soon. So atm i have two 120mm fans zip tied to the heatsink and it actually works better(also some zip ties from the fans to teh HDD cage and mounting screws to the above card to take the weight off the board) I dont think this card is for the overclocking community due the fans that come with it are two small along with the blades on them, however it does get rid of the noise of a stock gpu fan so it is a win if you want that. My temps were ok but its alot of work to cut down on 5-6 degress

Works great, But isn''t "250W of Cooling Power"

I purchased this in part because of the "250W of Cooling Power" advertised. The package however, states 160W. Seems that FrozenCPU may have made a little mistake. Either way, my 6770 now runs at 43c under full load. Even though it''s not really 250W, it still does a hell of a job.

Excellent Heatsink/Fan

Fairly easy to install (none of the trials an tribulations listed in that other review), quiet and very effective. My load temps on a GTX 460 1GB OC''d to 850 Mhz dropped 18C. This is really going to extend the life of my video card. While the thermal glue could be easier to use its not that bad and my dried hard in five hours (as recommended). The screws were a little small and fiddly, but fit just fine. Overall, it was one of the easier PC projects I''ve done. And again, its very quiet and effective.

DO NOT BUY!!!!!

I can sum up this cooler in one word...GARBAGE, JUNK, TRASH, CHEAP, HORRID! Ok that''s 5 words but you get my point. I have built a lot of systems over the years and I have NEVER seen a cooler this bad. To start the instructions are nearly worthless. It''ll give you just enough info to make you dangerous when putting this thing on but that''s about it. The "adhesive" they give you is actually worse than the design and quality of this cooler. Even when you make sure to use all the epoxy in the containers (I went as far as to split them open to get every last bit)it still has the consistancy of chocolate syrup. No matter how long you mix it. Due to this it''s going to get EVERYWHERE! Use just a tiny drop and it''s all over the place, like on the connections and in little spots where you have no hope of removing it. If this stuff is electricly conductive then both my cards are now junk. Even better, it NEVER hardened and it''s been almost 2 days! It cured to the point of old chewing gum and no further. To make matters worse, the mounting plate is so thin and cheap that one of the screws mounting it to the card STRIPPED OUT just from the slight bend in the card itself. So now the cold plate won''t make contact with the GPU. Also, I''m not sure if Arctic bothered to even check, but if you''re using an SLI system you''re SLI bridge WON''T FIT! The cooler sticks out to far (even when you mount it in the lowest position) for it to reach. Frozen CPU should really check into this before someone else runs into these same problems. DO NOT BUY!!!!!

This thing is sick

Anyone looking to cool down their video card should just buy this thing... period. My stock 560ti was idling at ~50 degrees with the stock fans sitting at 35%. If I jacked the fans up to 100%, I could get it to the low 40''s (if you want to put up with the horrifically loud fans that is). After installing this thing, I''m idling at ~26 degrees. My load temps have dropped from roughly 80 to 50, and that''s with the voltage at 1.1 with a 1GHZ overclock. Temps aside, the added heat sinks for the RAM and voltage regulators is worth it. I would note two things, however, if you''re considering this piece of goodness. First, if you''re running an SLI setup, beware. My card went from 2 slots of space to 3. Also, the directions stated that the cure time on the thermal adhesive (for the heat sinks and voltage regulators) required a 5 hour curing time but I found that they were still "loose" after that time. I let it sit over night and when I woke up, everything was pretty solid. So just keep that in mind.
