This copper plate works well with my VGA Supreme HF Bridge waterblock. However, be aware that using a universal waterblock on the 7970 does not cool the voltage regulator, when overclocking the core, you will reach a ceiling around 1100 MHz, going higher or maintaining this speed under load for extended period of time will shut down the video card because of excessive heat build up (GPU-Z says the card pulls over 140 amps) on the components. Look into mosfet heatsinks too!
