Finally set up and like it

I''m back to give this product my second review. I had complained the product did not come in chrome as pictured on the site. After getting over that, and waiting for a free weekend I finally hooked it up. First, I completed the change for the AMD 3 support, not too bad about 15 minutes. I removed my motherboard from the case and set up the water block. Not too bad, but it did take sometime. Thankfully the girlfriend cleaned all my components while I had the machine open. As a word of advice make sure the backplate is screwed in very tight. After you put the block on top of the cpu, it is very challenging to get the screws on. It took me pressing down on the arm, and my gf to put the screw on to get them on. After this, set up the radiator and the pump, then measure and cut the tubing. This was way easier then I thought, kind of have the urge to do more. I was all set and ready to test, then I realized one major problem. The 3 prong female for the power was full of either glue or plastic. It was completely unclean-able and was really pissed off, thinking that I was going to have to take it all a part and put the old fan back on. As I was determined to not want to do this, I took the plug off an old fan and spliced the wires. It worked. I''m only in day 2 with this set up, and it''s quiet and I like it. My old fan set-up was lacking fresh paste when I changed processors and was starting to heat too easily, going to 65-67 degrees when gaming or watching vids. With this water cooler I could not get it over 38 degrees. I was not expecting the product to cool as much as it does. The pump is dead silent, but I saw the other post here, I will post back if it begins to make noise after a few months. This kit is great for the price, and great for learning how to set this up without having to worry if you ordered all the correct separate parts. For a few dollars more you can have an expandable water cooler vs. being locked into a closed loop system. Seems like any part of this is upgradable, but I don''t think it necessary. I will likely add blocks to my gpu and maybe more shortly.

OK I have had this kit for a couple months now. I have noticed the past couple weeks, a vibration/noise in my case. I figured it was the fans since they are cheapy fans. It turns out, its the water pump itself. It seems to be pumping alright but its "humming" now. Looks like I''m going to have to order a new res/pump combo. Not too upset since I wanted a drive bay res but inconvenient timing, right after Christmas

Product didn''t match these photos

I order this and it came on xmas eve. Even thought I bought it, for the spirit of xmas I asked my gf to wrap. Anyways, when I opened it was black. The only reason I order this was for the silver shroud and clear/blue fans as depicted. If there is an alternate this site should say so, or if this is the only product then the photos should match. I watched a utube unboxing and it does come in silver. I''ll be calling frozencpu tomorrow, to rectify the discrepancy. Damn I hate having to ship working products back, but I only bought this cooler for it''s look.

This sytem is pretty darn good. The directions were severely lacking though. Lots of extra screws and spacers it didn''t tell you what they were for. After trial and error, I figured out all the parts for my AMD FX-4100 setup. I''m quite happy with the end results. Air cool: 19c idle/62c full load. Liquid cool:16c idle / 40c full load.

Great deal, best bang for your buck!

Friend of mine wanted to water cool his rig, i showed him a few options and he picked this one because it was the cheapest. I was reluctant because of how cheap it was and i hadn''t heard much about larkooler. While installing, i realized that it was all made of very high quality material and it all fit together so nicely. As easy as a lego set! Stock clocked i7 2700k with intel heatsink, LinX stress test came in at 98c. After i installed this, 4.5ghz same LinX test, 70c max. For what you pay for this kit, you can''t beat it.

I combined this cooler kit with a led cpu water block for a stunning look. It turned out great. The system was easy to install and runs quiet.
