Works on newer cards as well!

I purchased this from a local store for my radeon 5850; and fits perfectly; temps weren''t bad in the first place i just wanted a quieter heatstink/fan and this easily supplies just that!
Excellent if you''ve got some spare sinks

Replaced the stock coolers on a pair of BFG 8800 GTs with these. Although with what you get in the package alone it wouldn''t have been possible. I had some copper sinks laying about from some other kits that took care of the VRMs. Included sinks work fine for the BGA''s on the 8800GTs but, you definitely need something to cover the VRMs on the 8800 series cards. Major improvement in temperature over the single slot stock coolers. Idle was 54C, went down to 45C. Load now never tops 58C. Stock coolers were also screamers. Have these running full bore and they''re far quieter. Also replaced stock coolers on an 8600GTS and an HD2600XT using this. Temps are negligible and fan is barely audible on those cards. Both went into HTPCS. Highly recommended.

I have 2 XFX 7600GS''s using this cooler and what a temp drop over the plain heatsink that came stock. I can''t hear any additional noise as well. Worth every penny.
Replace your stock fan!

I replaced the loud stock fan on a 7600GT. Easy to install, very quiet, very good cooling. Route the the speed adjustment dial on the back of your case and you can silence it on the fly. The Zalman bolts on the rear (top) of your vga card hit some transistors on my P5B Deluxe Wi-Fi, and I had to carefully bend them out of the way.
Good solution

Got this to replace the ultra high-pitch whine stock fan on a 7900GT. This one cools the card much much better, and is reasonably quiet.

If your running a high end graphics card, don''t wait to get this fan replacement. I replaced the stock cooler on my XFX 7900 GT Extreme, and the temps dropped dramatically. From 57c to 46c at idle. Fan noise is also greatly reduced, especially in my Dell Gen4 XPS.
