I have three of these fans, two intake and one exhaust. They do move a lot of air and having nothing other than all three of them running in my room I can hardly hear them. As for longevity I have yet to see but I doubt I will be replacing them anytime remotely soon. These are the happy medium between airflow / DB you''ve been looking for.

"Is the computer running? You SURE...?"

So they''re expensive - if you need the quietest computer fans possible, you Need them! Family was not happy with a silenced Antec mid-size box, with installed Foze-CPU foam lining. Replaced the 3 GOOD fans with these (needed the 32cfm flow) left the big case side door off and called ''em in. "OK, start the computer" they said - I moved the mouse to turn on the vid. The loudest fan in the box was the quietest - the "Silencer" PC Power&Cooling 80mm, the standard for silence until now when I build. I plan to order 6 when I can afford them to silence my crowded full-ht. L.Lee Al tower. btw> Don''t bother ordering a Si. gasket in places like the Antec''s where the fans pop in - it won''t fit. Ordered PS silencer was NOT needed either (stick to PCP&S and it never will be, except on the smaller turbos, MAYBE) The fans also come with long rubber nuts for the supplied fan screws. So pick the air/sound level you need and spend a coupla bucks more for the best. Unless you enjoy the white noise of that machine room sound. Buy a foam kit too, though you''ll still hear your disk *heads* moving on a fluid-bearing Hitachi Deskstar, also the best and quietest in the biz.

Its ok... if used right

I was playing with the fan to heed the warnings of other reviewers stating oil leak out when I noticed a few things. One the fan really moves a considerable amount of air. Two the thing is utterly silent when facing down, meaning if you mount it in the top of your case pushing air in but who would do that. Last thing I noticed, I bought this to mount to a radiator, is that when it is mounted to a radiator air flow goes substantialy down and noise noticeably up, which sucks for a such an expensive fan. Now just to see what was better the ultra 80mm case fans that I bought a pack of 3 for half of the cost of this one fan, the ultra fan got noiser when attached to the rad but air flow remained consistant whether it was pushing air into or pulling air out of the rad. Now I have a memory cooler fan for this much money. GREAT!!!! FrozenCPU is awesome their shipping and order processing department is top notch!! I will not buy cooling stuff from anyone else after doing the pricegraber/bizrate price war. There is no qurantee with any of those working out of a basement websites. FrozenCPU is a sure thing.

Wow! I cannot believe the difference!

These fans are incredible. I finally have a quiet system with lots of POWER. I replaced 3 Cooler Master "quiet" fans (at 24dba) in my Antec case with three of these. They actually move MORE air! My case temp was lowered by 9 degrees and that''s with a Prescott 3.2! I just bought three more. I''ve replaced every fan in the system. These are the ONLY fans I''ll be using from now on. If you''re looking for a quiet solution wthout sacrificing performance, these are the fans you want. Period.
