Purple crap

Dunno about UV reactivity, but I got this and the Fuid XP+ w/ z7 ''cause I didn''t know which was blacker...the Fluid XP is a true black, but this, as many others have said, is purple crap. Dunno what kind of lighting they were using in those photos, but when I poured it into a glass, it looked purple around the edges. In a 3/8"-1/2" tube, I''m sure it looks very purple when well lit (which is sort of the point - light it up real bright and have it stay black).

without lighting it looks black, i used black tubing on all but my ram modules as they use 4 in and 4 outs at 1/4" Di. tubing and that tubing is near a uv fan, it looks purple as the picture CLEARLY shows on the site, but in my res in my 5.25" bay it looks black, which to me is pretty sweet, even the deep purple near the light is nice looking, if you want it to look black in the case get a NON-UV clear (ie white" cathode, like a mini halogen light. my one gripe is the i have had the water additive for a year and i noticed a little mold, fungus in my res, which i thought it would prevent.

Use Caution

I purchased this UV Black colored dye in hopes of having a jet black liquid pulsing through my loop. Be warned this is not a black liquid. The true color of this is DEEP PURPLE and may look black from a distance, but with any type of light behind it the purple color comes out. I did not buy this for it''s reactiveness to UV light so I have no comment on how little it glows.

HORIBBLE

Aggree with both posts below, it is not ceal when under uv light but instead turns grey, it discolored my tubes and i just switched over to distiled water and am getting better temps by 10C

EPIC FAIL!

I can not agree with the previous review more. This is barely UV reactive. Out of the bottle it looks more purple than black. I had to add an entire bottle of 50ml feser view black to the 1 liter of premixed feser one to make it look black. However, with tygon 3603 1/2 ID and 3/4 OD there is no UV reaction accept for about 6 inches of tubing that is closest to a 5mm LED. The logisys cold cathodes I have running through the case (4 in total), light up the interior of the case like a christmas tress, but alas, ABSOLUTELY no UV reaction from the Feser One liquid. Now I am faced with the daunting task of making it work with a lot more LED''s or trying to get the black dye out of the loops and going with a different product.

Wish it looked like the picture...

So, in the picture it looks deep inky black & under UV it looks transparent. Maybe clear or, because of the light, clear blue. IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE IN REAL LIFE!! It is neither transparent nor translucent, UV or normal light. Bought Red Feser tubing hope the dye would create a cool effect. The hose- under UV- looks orange on the chrome barbs and flesh tone pink where the fluid is visible inside. As a coolant, does it''s job ok. About the same as distilled water. Only different looking.
