I got this to help silence my 140mm exhaust fan as it is bolted directly to the chassis of my rig. I installed this in no time. It ran just a touch large for my stock 140mm Rosewill fan, but once I had it bolted down it was good to go. I now only hear the whir of the blades and not the low volume humming coming from the back of my case.

I attempted to mostly silence a new case so I can''t really say how this individual piece effected the overall picture, but the case ended up being fairly inaudible.
What I really liked about this particular pad was that it has a lip so you can snug your fan right in. Makes installation easy.
