Amazing - Quiet and Cool

Reviewer:Tim in PA (1)
I recently purchased and installed the H50 and find it to be outstanding. The install required the removal of my MB to mount a bracket on the back-side and a bracket on the front-side of the motherboard. The 120mm fan and radiator install rather easily and the CPU attachment installs very easily. Total install time was around 1 hour - I take my time and ensure I don''t mess anything up. The install guide recommended that the airflow be directed IN not out. I read another review of this unit and the reviewer tried it both ways and found the temp difference about 2-5C warmer when airflow is directed OUT. My case has a 80mm side port fan that directs air in adjacent/next to the radiator, so I chose to direct air OUT, not in as directed. My choice is based on my desire to not have warm air blowing against my leg or out the front of the case. My specs: i7 920 OC''d to 3.2GHz eVga X58 SLI LE Idle temps: 20-25C Load temps: 45-51C (Using Prime 95 blend) My stock Intel HSF: Idle temps: 45-50C Load temps: 65-75C The unit is totally quiet and I''m amazed at how well it cools. Very satisfied and it is totally worth the money.

Great cooler

I had tried ALL the best air coolers around, i tried the thrermalright True, AXP 140, the noctua NH-U12B and the NH-C12P and while some were better than others, they were ALL beaten by the H50. In most cases by 10C or more under heavy load. Simple, quite, and very effective. I have a 920 @ 4.2 and it idles at 35-38 and loads under prime at 63-68. I have a push pull set up, and im using the noctua fan i got from there coolers. Great product, Highly recomended!

Better than Coolit Domino ALC

I use to have the Coolit Domino A.L.C CPU Water Cooler. I made comparison and the Corsair Hydro Series H50 High Performance CPU Cooler run much cooler. On Idle the temperature is 36 degrees Celsius, on 100% load the max temperature is 82 degrees celsius. My CPU is Intel i7 965 Extreme Edition OC @ 3895 Mhz. Here the comparison: Coolit Domino ALC idle: 40 C Average Load: 46 C Max temperature: 98 C. Corsair H50: idle: 36 C Average idle: 38-40 C Max Temperature: 82 C During the test, the CPU was OC at 3895 Mhz.
