Best airflow to noise ratio out there.
I have eight of these fans moving all the air in my Lian Li PC-A70B case. They are remarkably quiet at full speed. Two of the fans cover both sides of my Thermalright Ultra-120 eXtreme CPU Heatsink. Using these fans, my Intel Q6600 Kentsfield processor runs at 3.6GHz (1.45 volts) reaching a maximum temperature of 75C during a 5 hour Prime95 torture test and an idle temperature of 45C. The Noctua fans have an excellent build quality, they’re quiet and they move a fair amount of air. Anyone building an air-cooled “quiet” system needs to try these fans out. They are worth every penny |

An Excellent Case
The new PC-A70 and PC-A71 series of “classic” cases from Lian Li has excellent airflow and is perfect for over clocked systems as well as servers. There are essentially four 120mm intake air fans: two take in cool air from the outside and blow into the hard drive cage while two more 120mm fans pull the air from the hard drive cage and blow it onto the motherboard. If you want to water cool your system, then just mount the power supply at the bottom of the case and you’ll have room for a three 120mm fan radiator mounted under the top panel.
I had Frozen CPU install the sound dampening material as well as the black handles. The dampening material keeps the vibration noise down while the case’s airflow keeps the temperatures from going up. I replaced the stock fans with the quiet fans from Noctua to produce a case that is both “silent” (relatively speaking) and also allows me to over clock my air-cooled components. Coupled with Lian Li’s excellent fit and finish, I couldn’t ask for more in a computer case.
