Not bad but not great
This kit isn''t bad but it''s not great either. I used it to sleeve an OCZ Powerstream 520watt which comes 1/2 sleeved from OCZ. I planned on doing both 2 foot lines of ide/floppy and the sata line but ran out of 3/8th sleeve after doing the ide/floppy. 3-5 feet more would be a great help for those of us running newer larger PSU''s. The Heat shrink tubing is ugly so i used some high quality automotive heatshrink in it''s place.
in my opinion the 1/8th and 1/4" sleeving included could be cut to 5 feet instead of 10 and the 3/8th" could be made into 10feet since these are really only useful for the floppy line and any fans you might have (not part of psu). also my package was lacking the tie wraps (zip ties) but that was fine with me too since i used black ones anyways.
the sleeving is actually UV reactive tho which is great! i highly recomend using a bic pen taken apart to make running wires through the sleeving go much smoother, and also a heat knife or lighter to singe the cut ends.
good molex/psu connector removal tools are also required as it''s next to impossible to get the sleeving over the connectors (though if your looking to buy this you already know that). |

nice quality!
very nice product here. Only complaint i have is that the line from the IDE switch to the Invertor box is not sleeved, and the molex connector for power is very cheap. The reason I say this is just by looking at it all of the pins were off in different directions, ofcourse you only need power and ground so 2 of the 4 pins can be removed (1 actually came out when i plugged it in).
Besides that this product is very nice, I just hope the inverter boxes last i''ve had a few from other companies go rather quickly. |
