Still a Top pick for ''09
Though slightly superseded by the swiftech gtz in thermal resistance, this block has major design wins in simplicity, durability, and quality.
well laid/thought out instructions for easy instillation under 30 minutes.100% made in USA. A lifetime warranty rounds out this fantastic package. still considered best overall waterblock by most professionals.
use of 3/4OD tubing is difficult due to tight barb spacing. |

Amazing fan
if you use the included silicone "screws" or have a silicone strip in between your heatsink, this really is 18db. at 90cfm
it''s dynamic pressure isn''t the best i''ve seen, but it''s still amazing for the noise.
i am running a e6600 with a thermalright-128 and this fan. @ 3.83 511 FSB at 46C...better then many watercooling setups that i''ve seen.
this fan goes out of stock QUICK so if it''s in stock, get it! you wont be sorry.

very flexable
the stock passive cooler on my northbridge(icfx3200) outperformed this cooler, so i installed it on my southbridge.
it didn''t fit until i milled out 3mm on each side(to make room for capacitors) and cut off 8 pins.
this is a very mod-able heatsink; because of the softcopper, and flexible pins.
very convent instillation mounts.
a average performer, but will work better then most "stock" passive northbridge coolers.

quality fan
+''s
this is a great fan. 80 CFM at 29db with no vibrations. full metal construction, cools better then the 83/34 antec fan i had.
-''s
there is no gap in between the mounting holes which makes installation hard for some cases/heatsinks.
highly recommended. |
