 Nice and Quiet
Functional and elegant design. The screws that come with the cage stick out from the hard drive and these rest in the rubber grommets. This mechanism for fixing the drives works well, and really cuts down on idle hard drive noise. I used to use a hot-swap cage -- the drives were screwed into metal trays and the metal trays rested in the metal cage that was fixed in the case with metal screws: lots of hard drive noise. The noise has been greatly reduced. This cage is made of aluminum and feels a bit flimsy, but comes with a fan and an air filter. Long. |
