It works!
This tool was a little tricky to use at first, yet amazingly effective at removing pins from connectors once I’d gotten the hang of it. It lacks any formal instructions but anyone with a good mechanical understanding should figure it out in just a few seconds. While the single point end is self-explanatory, used to depress the pin interlocks with a gentle push, the dual end took me a couple of practice tries. Sliding the dual spring metal tips at a slight angle, over the dual spring lock interconnects on male or female connector pins, made removing the pins a breeze. In the past I would use a small jewelers screwdriver to remove single and dual lock pins, but had to rock dual locks such as on MOLEX and sometimes damaged the delicate interlocks doing so. This tool is amazing in its’ simplicity, yet does exactly what it claims once accustomed to how it works. Sometimes the simplest tools work best, and the best I can say about this tool is that “It works”. |
