I purchased one and hooked it up. I now cool my memory, video cards (x2, northbridge and southbridge with this controller. I am able to control and monitor fan speeds and temperature of all my critical components in my Dell 690 Precision $15,000 CAD machine. My memory which is fully buffered, registered, ECC RAM, ran 145°F before this fan, now the memory runs at 105°F. Prior to installing this device I lost a 2GB Expensive stick of RAM due to overheating. I am buying 2 more today. |
