 Excellent if you''ve got some spare sinks
Replaced the stock coolers on a pair of BFG 8800 GTs with these. Although with what you get in the package alone it wouldn''t have been possible. I had some copper sinks laying about from some other kits that took care of the VRMs. Included sinks work fine for the BGA''s on the 8800GTs but, you definitely need something to cover the VRMs on the 8800 series cards. Major improvement in temperature over the single slot stock coolers. Idle was 54C, went down to 45C. Load now never tops 58C. Stock coolers were also screamers. Have these running full bore and they''re far quieter. Also replaced stock coolers on an 8600GTS and an HD2600XT using this. Temps are negligible and fan is barely audible on those cards. Both went into HTPCS. Highly recommended. |
