 Could not be happier
Have this installed on a non-ref 4870 with swiftech mc14 sinks. Added it to the loop in an XSPC triple 120 kit and dropped 15c in idle and load temps. Now OCing way beyond what the stock cooler was capable of. Only negative is the cheesy little direction sheets. |

 Very nice for the money...
Pros: Cheap and effective. CPU idle temps are very low (30-35c). I also added a GPU water block and dropped 15c accross the board on that chip.
Cons: Lack of instructions. AM3 mounting hardware not compatible with most mobo backplates (6-32 is common, some weird metric stuff is whats provided). The worst thing about this kit, and this could be my fault, is that when I load up the CPU the temps swing very rapidly and load temps are kind of high. Could be the crappy thermal grease they supplied. Will try remounting the block with a more reputable compound. |
